Hum ne Baz ko Baz per Fazeelat Dee - Quran

7. If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil, (ye did it) against yourselves.

11. The prayer that man should make for good, he maketh for evil; for man is given to hasty (deeds).

12. We have made the Night and the Day as two (of Our) Signs: the Sign of the Night have We obscured, while the Sign of the Day We have madeto enlighten you; that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye mayknow the number and count of the years: all things have We explained indetail.

13. Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck: On the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spreadopen.

14. (It will be said to him:) "Read thine (own) record: Sufficient is thy soul this day to make out an account against thee."

15. Who receiveth guidance, receiveth it for his own benefit: who goeth astray doth so to his own loss: No bearer of burdens can bear theburden of another: nor would We visit with Our Wrath until We had sent anmessenger (to give warning).

16. When We decide to destroy a population, We (first) send a definite order to those among them who are given the good things of thislife and yet transgress; so that the word is proved true against them: then(it is) We destroy them utterly.

17. How many generations have We destroyed after Noah? and enough is thy Lord to note and see the sins of His servants.

18. If any do wish for the transitory things (of this life), We readily grant them - such things as We will, to such person as We will: inthe end have We provided Hell for them: they will burn therein, disgracedand rejected.

19. Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the oneswhose striving is acceptable (to Allah).

20. Of the bounties of thy Lord We bestow freely on all- These as well as those: The bounties of thy Lord are not closed (to anyone).

21. See how We have bestowed more on some than on others; but verily the Hereafter is more in rank and gradation and more in excellence.

Surah Bani Israel 17, ayat 7-21

Sophie's World (novel)

Sophie's World
A Novel About the History of Philosophy
by
Jostein Gaarder

"Oh Shit! Its Finished"
This is the book which when you start to read you want to finish it as soon as possible but once it finished then 'oh shit! It' finished, now what!

Great Novel and Extraordinary Book

This is not a mere novel, its a crash course of philosophy.
Must read even if you are not a 'novel-guy'.

I'll recommend this book to put in the curriculum.

"One day Sophie comes home from school to find two questions in her mail: Who are you? and Where does the world come from?
Before she knows it, she is enrolled in a correspondance course, covering Socrates to Sartre and beyond, with a mysterious philosopher. But Sophie is receiving a separate batch of equally unusual letters. Who is Hilde? And why does her mail keep turning up in Sophie's world?

To unravel this riddle. Sophie must make use of the philosophy she is learning. But the truth is far more complicated than she could have imagined."

Victual Diff. & Resp. in the Quran

Victual Difference & Responsibilities in the Quran

Surah Nahal (16), Ayat 71

70. It is Allah who creates you and takes your souls at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they knownothing after having known (much): for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.

71. Allah has bestowed His gifts of sustenance more freely on some of you than on others: those more favoured are not going to throw backtheir gifts to those whom their right hands possess, so as to be equal inthat respect. Will they then deny the favours of Allah?

72. And Allah has made for you mates (and companions) of your own nature, and made for you, out of them, sons and daughters andgrandchildren, and provided for you sustenance of the best: will they thenbelieve in vain things, and be ungrateful for Allah's favours?-

73. And worship others than Allah,- such as have no power of providing them, for sustenance, with anything in heavens or earth, andcannot possibly have such power?

74. Invent not similitudes for Allah: for Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Qaumun Ji Almi Tareekh

قومن جي عالمي تاريخ
Sindhi Translation of
History and Life
by T Walter

(large size, 630+ pages)

A great book about History and Civilizations.
Covering 5 billion years ago to 1993 AD.

Critically: Only two drawbacks:
Pictures are black & white, so it is impossible to understand the legends of maps and pictures.
And very less usage of English in terminologies, you can hardly understands the certain words in Sindhi script.
